![]() The Yellow Rose of Texas is a bit wilted after the ravages of Hurricane Harvey. It has been difficult to watch helplessly from a distance as my friends suffer. 'No whining on the yacht' is a saying I heard recently. While not exactly on a yacht, I've been high and dry in my adobe hacienda and feeling survivor's guilt while my Texas friends have faced historic flooding. After watching for days with emotions ranging from horror to sadness to anger, I knew I had to do something. I love Texas because... We spent ten years in Texas and more than six in Houston. We raised our kids there and made lifelong friends. Texas Children's Hospital saved our son's life. I discovered writing, helped in the original stages of RWA, and sold my first book. When we moved away, I left my heart in Texas and cried (or whined) for about a year! So with Texas on my mind this week, I decided to stop whining and get busy helping the wilted yellow rose. I will donate all proceeds from the sales of Texas Sizzle during the month of September. Help me help Texas bloom again. Here's your chance to donate and read about Max, the ultimate Texas hero and Kathryn who learns to love Texas. Of course if you want to contribute more than the small price of this eBook, please do. And if you want to read another of my books, please enjoy! ![]() Have a heart for Texas! Donate and read! Texas Sizzle tease: Kathryn has lost faith in love until she meets Max who has a heart as big as Texas. You can bet he would be in southeast Texas rescuing anyone and everyone! And Kathryn would reach out with her manicured nails to pull the animals to safety! That's how Texans roll, helping each other. (Even ex-pats like me.) Go Texas strong!
