LOVE'S DAWNING - Romancing the West Kyla is in for big changes when she goes West to discover her roots and build her new business. But can she win the heart of the skeptical Griff with her awesome power of love? Reality Check - This is the first book (and the last) where I fictionalized what a couple of my friends were actually doing, creating fashions with Native American designs. For my story they needed conflict, change and a hero (enter Griff) and a bunch of hands creating products. I thought the concept was brilliant. You still occasionally see beautiful Native designs in clothing. Marketing Passion - Kyla, my heroine designer, is passionate about her clothing designs and her love for Griff. She is part Native American and there are some things to learn about being a guest on any Indian Reservation. Whether products or books, marketing is a key factor. Who knew? Now we're all online marketing something. Love's Dawning Excerpt: Griff stood at the edge of the pool, provocative, indomitable . . . completely nude, as was she. His dark eyes caught hers electrically for a fleeting moment before his sleek body dove into the water, aiming for her like a missile. Mesmerized, and with great appreciation, Kyla watched his exacting male form slice through the water. His long, outstretched arms realigned the muscles in his back; his waist tapered, then formed tight buttocks; his legs extended and kicked slightly to speed his voyage. She tread water, anticipating his emergence near her. From the moment she gazed up at his figure on the edge of the pool, aroused and formidable, Kyla knew she would be in Griff’s arms tonight. It was inevitable, and she waited with growing expectation. "You didn't think I would let you enjoy this alone," he chided as he emerged, water dripping sensuously down his face. "I didn't think . . . you would be here. Watching." "Oh, come on now. I'm not blind. I saw the way you looked at this pool. I knew you'd be back. You couldn't resist." "Then you knew it before I did." He shrugged. "Maybe so. There are some things you know, little she-cat. Like the certainty that I couldn't resist you. It was inevitable from the first." His arms reached for her, pulling her slick form to his. Although her flesh was willing, Kyla objected weakly. "Griff, I don't think we should—" His over whelming virility, so close and breathtaking, stopped further protestations.
