SIMPLE PLEASURES

Do I have the best job in the world or what? Reading, traveling, writing – all for nothing except simple pleasures!

Sizzling summer is a time for eating ice cream, sipping iced tea or Margaritas, and skinny-dipping in cool streams. And maybe a little writing. (OK, always)

Satisfying my gypsy soul – Yes, I do get wanderlust, especially when Tucson heat starts to sizzle. Although I love living on the edge of the desert, traveling opens my wild mind to possibilities and fills my creative spirit.
Road show - This year, we'll be traveling a lot and celebrating with friends and family, especially those who don't live near here. We're taking our show on the road, from New England to the Oregon Coast to Hawaii to the Arizona mountains to... Italy! La dolce vida! Ciao baby! O sole Mia! But I digress...

One for the road – Make that TWO, for my husband and me. The heat is on... And we're so outta here! Come along and share the delights. I'll show some of the inspiration for my latest novella, MYSTIQUE, and explore delicious ambiguity. Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or sign up for my newsletter for adventures, short stories, and updates. I'll be blogging about my adventures, too, so stay tuned.

My Summer 99 cent Sale books came about after traveling to these settings, except for TEXAS SIZZLE, where we lived for several years. A MAN TO REMEMBER was written after a trip to Mexico's glorious beaches on the Baja. And after a hike down to the bottom of the awesome Grand Canyon, RARE BREED became a story I had to tell. All are fictional fantasies, so let your imagination soar!

Have you ever been to a place so interesting and awesome that you had to know more about the people who live there, or make up your own story?

"The difference between talking about it and doing it is… doing it."
~ from DELICIOUS!: A Novel by Ruth Reichl
