Contemporary, Historical, Mystery, Romance, Erotica!
Amazingly, some people don't like to read fiction. Equally amazing, some people don't care to write fiction, but love to read novels. I love both. Here's why.

The magic of reading fiction –

¨     Characters seem real – Living a different life but speaking your language.
¨     It flows – Jump in and ride it through.
¨     Your emotional state affects story choice – Where do you want to go: mystery, love, western or sexy? Feelings matter.
¨     You can escape into another world – please, take me away!
¨     You hate for it to end  - I often want to live in their story world, for a little while at least.
¨     Great thing to do when it's raining – Curl up and read, fall in love, defeat the enemy and conquer your world.

The Magic of writing fiction –
¨     Characters seem real – They're speaking to me… constantly.
¨     It flows – Like magic, story writes itself. NOT really! But it does flow at times.
¨     Your emotional state affects the story you write – Feelings matter. (Tissue handy, or fist in the air?)
¨     You can escape into another world – Be the characters, assume their habits, conquer their worlds.
¨     You love/hate for it to finish – Push/pull. Let them go. No, no they aren't ready!
¨     Great thing to do when it's raining – Story comes alive with you in the middle.

Which is why writers say they write the stories they want to read. After being in Ireland, I just couldn't get enough of this beautiful country and their story-loving people. The Irish Series was born with Secret Embrace. When I wrote Embraceable You, I realized I wanted to go back to Ireland with Claire's Embrace. And yes, there will be more Irish romances.

What takes you away, as a writer or reader?
