A Rose Among Thorns
Some love stories have a prickly cactus punch – a bittersweet journey to a satisfying ending. That's ROGUE DIAMOND. http://bit.ly/1I1il5Y
I read in a local newspaper about a baby-selling ring from Mexico to a small border town in Arizona. Horrified! Pitched the idea to my New York editor. But she didn't think it could possibly be happening!
So I moved on with another story. A more traditional romance.
Three months later my NY editor called. "Remember that story about stolen babies…"
 "Yes."
"Well I just read about it in the New York Times! Taking Mexican babies to the US for adoption! Can you write a romance novel about it?"
 "Yes I can."
And I did, with tears and beauty and grit and everlasting love. ROGUE DIAMOND became one of my most enduring and beloved books. After all, who doesn't love a good rogue?
Note to self: Young New York editors don't know everything, which is why I am now an Indie Author. I don't know everything, but I do know a good story. Hope you enjoy this one.

What do you think? Did you learn something innovative, provocative, stimulating, a terrible truth? Do you have or know of a story that just can't be silenced?
