WINTERING 2024

Here in New England, winter brings frosty mornings. Life slows and is often foggy. We wait for snow, winter's crowning glory. And we know the winter rules: keep an ice scraper, a jump-starter, and blanket in the car. Also pull up your windshield wipers if you're expecting snow. Makes scraping much easier. Result is that our car looks like a giant bug with antennas high! Wintering is a process.
After the brilliant colors of autumn and the rustle of Thanksgiving, winter is pale, quiet and peaceful.  Trees are bare and reveal all that they hide year round. Colorful villages, silver ponds, even cemeteries covering a hill.
We are anticipating our first snowfall when our world becomes pure, untouched beauty. Everything is quiet, glistening, waiting. Hibernating. Movement is halted, slowed, as if Nature is meditating and telling us to slow down and wait for the roses.
Wintering.
Time to take deep breaths, go inside myself, reassess my intentions and listen to my inner voice. Breathe in the cold, clean air with a sense of gratefulness. Bask in the tranquility and imagine… peace, joy, and love.

This is a good time to curl up and read my Christmas story, OUR TIME TO LOVE. And you might want to grab TEXAS SIZZLE, a fun love story set in Texas. Both are on sale for $1.99. And please leave a review.
Enjoy your wintering.
Have a wonderful, peaceful holiday season and into the new year.
with love, Mary  Tate
